Skin Rejuvenation

There are several methods for rejuvenation and tightening skin and removing wrinkles from it, usually these methods are exploited:

Radiofrequency (RF)

Radiofrequency is a noninvasive method for removing the wrinkles and sagging skin using RF waves. Treating with RF works by body tissues absorption of radio waves (kept at controlled frequencies).

in skin rejuvenation via RF, the area under treatment is usually covered by lubricant gel, then the RF waves get transferred via skin surface and cause excitation which leads to collagenization in the skin fibroblasts and hence increased elasticity and tightening of the skin. A cooling system is also used in this method for skin surface protection against future damages or burning. Immediately after the treatment, the area under treatment should be cleansed and some amount of gentle moisturizing lotion is also applied.

Injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP)

PRP injection was first used about 25 years ago in an open-heart surgery. Nowadays, it is used for a variety of fields including cosmetics, jaw and face, orthopedics and urology, due to its healing effect. PRP injection is used in cosmetics to rejuvenate the skin and to slow down its aging process. It is also effective in removing wrinkles around eyes, lips, forehead, neck, entire face, back of the hands, etc. recently, PRP is being used for treating hair loss and regrowing in women and men too. Since the blood plasma is rich of growth factors and platelets, PRP can also help to treat hair loss.

PRP is also used for treating black eye and shiner which has proved to achieve satisfactory result in most cases.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive method used for rejuvenation and cleansing the skin that is also applicable for treating wrinkles, spots caused by aging and open pores of the skin. This method makes use of formulated aluminum oxide microcrystals to exfoliate the outer layers of skin to rejuvenate it. In the usual scenario, this method is applied on face, neck and arms and has the least recovery time. It can be also used to improve the acne scar appearance, advanced pigmented damages and to decrease the open pored of the skin.

Laser therapy with CO2 fractional

CO2 fractional laser (fracsal) is used for a wide range of applications in treatment of skin problems. The most important applications include removing the acne scars, old scars made by stitching and rejuvenation of the skin.

In fact, fracsal laser is most effective laser for treating acne scar and skin rejuvenation. According to its mechanism that performs via micron radiations to the skin, about 20 percent of the entire skin surface would be exposed to the laser radiation and that’s why this method causes very fast recovery and with less side effects compared to the older lasers.

In every session of the laser therapy, a superficial wound will be created that will involve about 20 percent if the skin. The wound healing takes about 5-7 days. After desquamation in that area, the created skin will be tighter, more consistent and with less wrinkles and scars.

About 3-5 sessions every 6-8 weeks are required to treat acne scars. For the purpose rejuvenation of the skin, a twice a year treatment can also be used based on patient’s need.

Treating with laser accompanies a short pain and using numbing creams to contain the pain will be enough.

Botox injection

Botox injection is the best known method that uses all kinds of botulinum poison to temporarily disable the muscle activity. This poison is created by botulism microbe (type of food poisoning).

In the first place, we can point out the botox ability in removing wrinkles of the face. Botox injection is also used for treating problems such as repetitive neck spasms, excessive sweating, overactive bladder and some factors responsible for strabismus. For some people, botox injection can be also used to help prevent persistent migraines.

Gel injection

Gel injection performs well in removing various signs of aging. Some of the applications of gel injection includes removing the wrinkles around lips, smile line, eyes and forehead. The ability to volume and highlight the cheeks and lips is another usage. Standard injectable gels are produced from the natural substances that could be found in the body and act on the skin collagens. Therefore, those gels are totally harmless and do no damage to the skin.
