Laboratory tests are a valuable tool for diagnosis, control and following the treatment of the diseases which are prescribed regularly by the physicians. Each test gives the valuable information to the physicians and provides them with the right decision. Experts working in this section who receive the specimens from the patients and examine them, do their responsibilities very carefully, because each specimen belongs to a patient and it is very important to provide accurate test results to diagnose the disease and treat it.

Having the advanced equipment and experienced technologists, the laboratories provide a wide range of services in the field of diagnostic and pathologic testing. In this lab, there are several specialized sections as follows;

  • Blood Bank

A place where blood is collected from donors, typed, separated into components, stored, and prepared for transfusion to recipients. A blood bank may be a separate free-standing facility or part of a larger laboratory in a hospital Typically, each donated unit of blood (whole blood) is separated into multiple components, such as red blood cells, plasma and platelets. Each component is generally transfused to a different individual, each with different needs. Accident victims, people undergoing surgery and patients receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or other diseases, such as sickle cell disease and Thalassemia, all utilize blood.

2- Biochemistry: Precise measurements of most of the metabolites, such as glucose (blood sugar), cholesterol, urea, creatinine, sodium, potassium, etc., can be found in this section, which can be indicative of diabetes, kidney diseases, and heart diseases.

3- Hematology (a medical science that deals with the blood and blood-forming organs): Services for testing blood cells including red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets and coagulation tests including CBC and Hob tests, diagnosis of blood infection, anemia and leukemia.

Hormone: The relevant tests are done in this section to examine hormonal problems like thyroid.

4- Pathology: Preparation of sampled tissues with surgery and the diagnosis of being cancerous or not being are done in this section.

5- Microbiology: In this section, examining and analysis of bacteria and viruses and … is carried out in the body. For this purpose, blood, urine and mucus fractionation are done to diagnose the infection and to determine the appropriate antibiotic for the treatment of the individual.

Sampling: The type of analysis being performed to get a sample from the patient and according to the type of the experiment.
